Welcome to SimCar! With nearly three years of rFactor under our belt, SimCar is going strong in its fourth calendar year of competition!
SimCar is an rFactor league using four mods: iDT's excellent Formula BMW mod (v2) in what we call "Champ3", the Formula Nippon 2007 mod serves to fill the role of Indy Lights in our Champ2 series, iDT's 2006 Champ Car World Series cars are the foundation of our top-tier Champ1 league; and NorAm returns in 2008 with revitalized Protons and Demons. Since its foundation, SimCar has prided itself on welcoming rookie drivers. Whether your a rookie to sim racing in general, or to rFactor, or just to SimCar, join the forum, get the SimCar downloads and join us on track.
SimCar hopes to simulate the tradition, competition, and challenge of American open-wheel racing. Our champions must tackle tight street circuits, winding road courses, and fast ovals. It is our hope that the American open-wheel scene will eventually be as interesting and challenging in real life as we strive to make it here.
SimCar has been racing with rFactor since the week following rFactor's release in 2005. Since then, like many rFactor-based leagues, our racing has evolved to take advantage of some of the many mod and track add-ons created by members of the rFactor community.
This is our new site, and it is not quite yet operational. While we develop the site, please visit our forum and learn more about the cars and series we run, and while you're there, sign up to race in our Champ Car World Series inspired racing series.
