NorAm
NorAm has its beginnings at SimCar in early 2006 when Francis Robert created the ProtoRacer Proton and Demon cars. We later incorporated the cars along with some GT cars for two seasons of Sports Car racing. In the beginning, the series was overwhelmingly popular—two divisions were necessary to accommodate all the drivers.
The series went on hiatus in 2007, but the name returns in 2008-02 with updated Protons and Demons. This in-house update to the cars was authorized by Francis Robert, and will see timed races rather than distance-specific events held in the 2008-02 season. Race venues will vary from those used in SimCar open-wheel events, and this season include the Sebring 12-hour course, the Daytona 24-hour circuit, Indianapolis's GP layout, Watkins Glen, Road America, and Le Mans; nothing short of a classic Sports Car schedule
For 2008-02, the NorAm revival will only include the prototypes; GT cars have not been added to the mix yet.
